[Install Scripts] - Ubuntu 14.04 - Using Composer
« on: 2016-05-13, 02:47:05 PM »
I had issues a few times with my VM and had to rebuild my Indexer from scratch.  It is annoying.

I created a set of scripts to automate the process and works with the new format of the GitHub Repo.

You will find them in my Repo:

Thanks for making these scripts.  I'm not familar with ubuntu so I particularly appreciate it.  I can't get past the database setup in the web interface.

'Unable to create database and data. Check permissions of your mysql user.'

Database System (type in mysql):mysql
Hostname:   127.0.0.1
Port Number:3306
Socket Path(optional):/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
Username:   nzedb
Password:   *****
Database (to connect to):nzedb

I had the same problem 3 days ago, but i didn't use any script, just using the install-guide.
It worked after i applied a "chmod 777" the the whole nzedb directory.

Also you could try using "localhost" instead of "127.0.0.1".

Still getting the same error after your suggestions: sudo chmod 777 /var/www/nzedb and change to localhost

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't reply earlier.  I was traveling and I just got to settle down and open my laptop.

DON'T USE 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

PUT 0.0.0.0 <--- This should get you past that error.

Also, I never put the socket part.  Just leave it empty and it should work.

Originally I had some errors but they should be fixed in the current version in GitHub.

Please try it out and let me know.

great script but you should add an option for MariaDB as well.  more stable and the sphinx extension is better.

at what point am i supposed to run the start.sh shell, and ive been starting the whole process with ./simple.sh is this correct?

Hello,

Could it be there is something wrong with the start.php ?
If I run it TMUX opens but the pane's are dead.
if I run the update_binaries manually it works .

thank you

My bad.  I created that Start.php file to run TMUX and ZNC by myself.

When you run the 3rd part of the script it should automate that already for you.  Just reboot and that's it.

Hi Dildo,

I set it up with MySQL because that's what I usually do/use.

If you could provide me the differences to set it up with MariaDB I will gladly modify it to be an option.

great script but you should add an option for MariaDB as well.  more stable and the sphinx extension is better.

been playing with your script. i like it.  what would be cool is an automation of the ZNC deploy with default values. and an option for mariadb.

lastly an import of existing databases for test or scale instances.
