General Talk / Re: TV Shows not being found

I don't think it's to avoid take downs. Seems more like a revenue stream.

ie come to our site, pay and you get the good stuff.

So is it safe to say that nzedb is dead for automatically creating TV show releases and likely all other releases in the near future (if not already)?

I assume the multi group and multi poster thing is to avoid take downs?

How are others dealing with it?

Support / Re: Update_binaries.php does nothing?
« Last post by iredoo on 2017-12-06, 09:33:52 AM »
Had the same issue. Like mentioned, you need to edit the php.ini file for CLI.

Code: [Select]
sudo nano /etc/php/7.0/cli/php.ini
The only thing I had to do was find 'timezone' (CTRL-W and then type timezone). Uncomment the line and add the the timezone in (i.e. America/NewYork).

After that, the update_binaries.php file actually does something. Before it would do nothing, no errors or logs.

No obvious errors in Apache Logs.

Support / Latest update gives "No connection defined"
« Last post by insanehomelesguy on 2017-12-05, 07:23:41 PM »
Doing a new install.  Every page gives "no connection defined" on upgrade I get the same error on all pages and when the update scripts are running.  I saw a dev fix pushed to correct the problem a month ago but I'm still having the issue.

Announcements / Release 0.8.2.0 2017-12-04
« Last post by Wally73 on 2017-12-05, 03:25:37 AM »
0.8.2.0 2017-12-04
Added:
   * settings.example.php has new constants for a maintenance mode. If the mode is set to true
then the API/web site return a status of 503 with the message "Maintenance Mode". The page
returned by the server should be defined with the MAINTENANCE_MODE_HTML_PATH constant.

**NOTE** This requires that you update your settings.php file. There are two things
         to change.
         1) the version number from 4 to 5. Near the top of the file.
         2) The addition of the maintenance mode constants near the bottom of the file. This
is optional, but it is wise to add them.

Changed:
   * Removed the logged in user check, during API key checking. This prevents incorrect keys from
   being used.

Fixed:
   * Corrected status code for "Missing parameter (apikey)" redirect.
   * Made username check be case-sensitive, as they should *always* be.
   * Not found exception some users were experiencing.

Support / Backfilling: just getting 1.000 articles per run
« Last post by schlobjob on 2017-12-03, 03:39:49 AM »
nZEDb is running nice and for more than 12 months. i just noticed that for backfilling it is just getting 1.000 articles per run (middle pane on the right side) - i am pretty sure that i tried any setting in the admin-area, but i canĀ“t set it to a higher number like 5.000 or 10.000 per run.
where can i change the setting?

Support / Re: Decrypt Hashes / Releases to Process always at 10240

It's probably a setting in the user_threaded.sh script. It's one that you customise for your install and personal preference (as it doesn't get overwritten when updating).

It's unusual that you'd always hit that limit, so if you're backfilling, reduce the amount processed per loop and try to keep the user_threaded loops between 10-40 minutes max.

To crunch through that backlog, either double or add another zero to that maximum. It's normally quick anyway depending on the hardware setup.
