Hi all,

Now I am not a total newbie to this, having run nnplus for a while, but I am lost with this issue.

I get nothing when I run the update_binaries.php script, just goes straight back to the command prompt, and occasionaly I get the error "sh: printf: I/O error" when I run the script.

The setup all went fine with no issues, the database is there and I have verified the connection to the newsserver.

Can someone please offer a sugestion or at least somewhere to start looking?

Thanks.

[edit] BTW when I run the screen version I get a "failed to connect to server" message?

enable php logging in php.ini and copy www/settings.php.example to settings.php and enable logging in that one too

Hi Walley73,

Thanks for replying.

I have the logging on, and php errors.log has:

[05-Jul-2015 20:38:36 Australia/Adelaide] PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7168 bytes) in /var/www/nZEDb/nzedb/db/Settings.php on line 321

Any ideas?

Thanks

Wally73,

I did follow that guide, and I have rechecked it twice, but perhaps i have miskeyed something. I will check again.

Which part are you suggesting is incorrect? The memory allocation?

Thanks.

Mark

Wally73,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I looked at the files again and again and again and finally realise I had left the "M" off the memory allocation in one of the files. I must have been way too tired to see it yesterday... :)

All good now, thanks again for helping out.

cheers

Mark
